The PlaySmart Early Learners Program is a structured, play-based program designed to support young children in building foundational developmental skills through guided activities and individualized teaching.
Our program takes place at the PlaySmart Plus Center and combines structured teaching, guided play, and peer interaction in a supportive learning environment.
Children with developmental delays, speech delay, or suspected autism are welcome.
Children will practice important early developmental skills such as:
Communication and early language development
Joint attention and engagement with adults and peers
Functional and pretend play skills
Following simple instructions and routines
Early learning readiness and attention skills
Emotional regulation and transition
Morning Program: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Afternoon Program: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Note: Children may attend multiple days per week, depending on their goals and availability.

Center-based sessions
Small group learning with individualized support (1 therapist: 2 children)
Structured teaching rotations and play activities
Guided peer interaction
Support from trained therapists
Children approximately 2–4 years old who would benefit from support with early communication, play, and developmental skills.
$130 per session – billed through AFU funding when applicable
*Sessions are typically scheduled twice per week.
$200 non-refundable registration fee required to reserve a spot.The registration fee covers assessment, program preparation, materials, and administrative processing.
